SimWorks Off the Road MTB Bike Rack New! Test fitted indoors on my Surly Ogre (142/148 Gnot Boost rear spacing) but otherwise unused. The second image shows how it looks mounted to a Surly Bridge Club with 700c x 2.2 tyres. Heres what Analog Cycles in Vermont say about it. Nitto makes it to a Simworks design.

Nitto makes the nicest racks on the planet. The joints are fillet brazed, which not only looks nice, but brazing is also done at a lower temperature than tig welding, so the steel isnt as impacted by the heat. It also means that if you break the rack at a joint, your friendly local cold beer and welding place can braze it back together for 25 bucks.

It wont break, but if it did, Rudys would have you covered. Heres what makes this Simworks Off the Road rack cool: Its wide. That means if you want to use it on a bike with boost spacing, you can. Itll look goofy on a road bike, dont do that. Good for 2.4 - 3.5 tires.

148mm or 142mm drop outs. It has an adjustable height. A word about the adjustable height: the height adjusts with a big bolt that has an eyelet at the bottom to mount to the frame. Theres a lock nut that you snug up against the rack where the mounting bolt thing goes into the rack proper.

Put a dot of blue loctite or a big knob of beeswax on that once you dial in the height, so it doth not shaketh loose. Made by Nitto in Japan, the new SimWorks Off The Road rack is designed to be better suited for off-road use, carrying more, and travelling further. In true SimWorks fashion, the rack features a unique shape, elegant curves, and a chromoly steel construction. The fit is adjusted using their Denden bolt height adjustment for the rack limbs and Daruma-secured connection rods.

The Off The Road rack weighs 1.15kg and can handle loads up to 16kg. At first glance it looks like it would be great for a pannier set up and has a generously sized top platform for lashing on extra gear.
