They are on back order from the VW factory now with a 4-6 week lead time. The Volkswagen Genuine bicycle carrier is made from anodised aluminium and comes pre-assembled. This makes it easy to install on the vehicle. The rear hatch can still be opened with the bicycle carrier in place (without bicycles).

The bicycle carrier can hold up to 70 kg. The sliding bicycle rails and the locking arms (which can be removed with one hand) make it easy to load the carrier with up to 4 bicycles.

The retractable feet provide additional safety. Maximum load [kg]: 60 MAX. Width of wheel rails/mm: 50.

Clamps frame section / mm: Ø 80. Fitting instructions: The tailgate's gas struts may have to be replaced if rated to less than 1080nm. Not for: Vehicles with rear decorative film / High roof. Only in conjunction with: Tailgate. Collection only due to size. Can arrange your own courier. We offer free fitting from our workshop on Atcham Business Park in Shropshire.
